Vocational & Enterprise Development
Special Vocational Training :
Jujresa Women And Child Welfare Organization imparts training in various vocational training to the unemployed rural distress women & youths and economically backward communities to develop confidence for strengthening their financial standard. We have completed three vocational trainings this year in compliance with the COVID 19 restrictions. Many unemployed young youths & women are supporting their families by earning a living on their own feet. This year the following training programmes were arranged by JWCWO, Support by Sahyog Trust.
- Carpentry Training for Rural Youth
Two Wheeler Repairing & MaintenanceTraining in rural unemploye youths (Sunderban)
- Food Processing for Jam Jelly & Tomato Ketchup making Training
- Umbrella Making Training
NABARD – Livelihood Enterprise and Development Programme(LEDP):
As skill up-gradation training alone has a limited impact on livelihood creation among the SHG members, it was thought prudent to create sustainable livelihoods among SHG members and to attain optimum benefit out of skill up-gradation and a new scheme titled Livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP). LEDP is a skill training programme for a woman that helps to engage women in economic activity. Thirty SHG members enrolled for the first-batch training. A total of 90 SHG members will take part in the phase-wise programme to upgrade their skills. In this programme there is provision for intensive training for skill building, refresher training, backward and forward linkage, handholding and escort supports. During the training, Mr. AvinashLahani, DDM, NABARD, RO, Kolkata visited our training center and discussed the program in detail.
With the grant assistance of NABARD, RO,Kolkata , Jujersa Women And Chld Welfare Organisation (JWCWO) has implemented Livelihood and Enterprise Development Program (LEDP) on “ Cotton,Canvas& Paper Bag making ” in Udaynarayanpur&Jagatballavpur n Howrah district. The training will enable the rural women to improve their skills in producing designable Cotton Canvas & Paper Bag and empower them for better income and self-sustenance.” After the successful completion of 10 days of training, all 3 batches of 90 members were provided with a Participation certificate.
Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP):
The Micro-enterprise Development Program (MEDP) aims to expand employment opportunities for the poor, youths, women, and individuals from socially excluded groups. MEDP contributes to poverty reduction by creating micro-enterprises, supporting their growth and providing capacity development support for sustainability. One cannot deny that the women who earn gets respect in the family and she has a position in the society as well as in family. Therefore it is necessary to make women self-sufficient. With that point of view vocational training on following trades was conducted for skill formation-cum-up gradation of disadvantaged and socio-economically backward classes of the community. MEDP is funded by NABARD.
